Finally!
One of those monkeys...
The last time I went there was in 2015... I had been travelling there for years, one of my favorite places in Malaysia... But then the very nice beach resort that made it all worth while decided to renovate...

Frankly, it was about time. The rumbling aircons, the loose wiring (the last time I went there I got electrocuted... when I told the girl at the desk at checkout, about the rotten socket that could potentially kill a kid, she shrugged, as if to say 'what else is new'... that kind of stuff isn't too great for business). However, there was something wrong with their planning, because the two years it would take turned into three, then into four, five, and then, when they were about to reopen - yeah finally... covid spoiled it all.
So, it's been a while. Tomorrow we're going... finally! Downside of course, after years of anticipation and building it up in my mind... will it still be as nice, in that new and renovated resort? We'll see. It's only a short trip anyway, because you know (see the previous snippets): she can't be left alone for too long.
