Shot from The Peak, a high vantage point on the main island of Hong Kong...

We had tried earlier that day, but the heat spoiled that first attempt. Climbing a slope towards the train that would bring us up, it became too much for me and I almost fainted. August in Hong Kong isn't the most convenient. Mind you, by now I'm used to the tropical heat, but on a bad day it can still hit you like a ton of bricks, especially if the humidity is high. I had to retreat and rest a bit with loads of water. We tried again later, when things had cooled down a bit, leading to some very nice night shots. This photo is currently also used as header shot for the main page.
